Description: Bi-Lingual Spanish & English Program Manager for Lawrence Working Capital

* Organization: Working Capital, a dynamic non-profit microfinance organization, seeks a creative and energetic Program Manager for its Lawrence, Massachusetts program, with particular emphasis on Hispanic entrepreneurs. Working Capital provides its customers with business loans, education and training, and networking opportunities for mutual support and assistance.
* Job Description:

1. Program Development & Management
* Coordinate, support & supervise program staff responsible for the Lawrence Working Capital Program (1 FT program officer, 2 PT agents).
* Develop annual program goals & objectives.
* Generate new loan transactions; oversee the loan portfolio and work out problem loans; serve on the Credit Committee approving individual business loans and participate in Loan Review Committee meetings.
* Teach business education curriculum, with emphasis on manageing finances.

2. Marketing and Entrepreneur Recruitment
* Develop contacts with local media: radio stations, newspapers, public television.
* Organize & conduct outreach meetings with local faith prganizations, Latino organizations, chamber of commerce, professional groups.
* Conduct information meetings and training sessions in English and Spanish and work with individual members as required.
* Assist in designing and drafting marketing and promotional materials in Spanish.
* Recruit bi-lingual volunteers from the business community to conduct workshops on business topics for participants and general public (as an outreach tool).
* Produce quarterly newsletter.
* Organize membership mixers with staff participation.
* Organize yearly group and membership recognition event.

Requirements: Candidate Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum three (3) years experience
* Experience working with small enterprises and/or in business, marketing or finance
* Management skills
* Fluent written & spoken Spanish and the ability to work in a Hispanic cultural context
* Famiiarity with local area organizations, churches and community leaders a plus
