Description: The Senior Services Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Manage senior social service staff and programs to ensure provision of appropriate and available social services to enable residents to live as independently as possible with family and community support. Advocate for the interests of seniors and the mission of the Unity Council through networking and collaborative development. Work with residents, participants, elder leaders, staff and collaborative entities to facilitate the physical, emotional and mental well-being of seniors. Provide assessment of social service needs as indicated by residents, family, administrator, service staff and other concerned parties within organizational and professional guidelines including confidentiality. |
Requirements: BA and/or equivalent work experience; 3-5 years experience in social service delivery with senior citizens, to include a working knowledge of support services and resources in the area to be served; Effective oral and written communication skills should be demonstrated; An equivalent combination of experience, education and training; Supervisory experience; Strong leadership; Cultural sensitivity.
