Description
: The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Supervise the Social Service Specialist, Family Advocates and the related program component for Head Start & Early Head Start; Schedule and conduct regular case conferences with social services staff and attend regular staff, coordinator, and site staff meetings; Review and evaluate the case management, work to ensure that the meetings with families are identifying the family s strengths to help in meeting those needs, and providing resource and referrals to meet comprehensive family services in accordance with the Family Needs; Assessment and the Individualized Family Partnership Agreement; and the appropriate follow-up is made by the Family Advocates; Monitor contact documentation on the families through S.O.A.P. charting; Assist with enrollment/in take process; Conduct Family Needs Assessments and help families in developing an Individualized; Family Partnership Agreement (I.F.P.A.), including appropriate follow-up; Maintain a case load of families; Supervise home visits for families.

Requirements
: Require BA in Sociology, Social Welfare or related field; Five years experience in Social Service work, prefer experience in a family services program; Three year experience in a supervisory or management capacity; Knowledge of relevant family community resources; Ability to coordinate, schedule and motivate a team; Computer literate; Valid California drivers license with a good driving record (a DMV check will be conducted) and proof of automobile insurance. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish). Caring, compassionate approach to working with children and families; Effectively interface with multicultural, economically challenged populations; Ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural team.
