Description: The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Teach; Ability to model play-based, child-centered curriculum; Assist with assessment of children; Assist in supervision of teaching staff; Verify hours for teaching staff in the classroom on biweekly timesheets; Supervision of teaching staff; Communicate with parents; Day-to-day operations of the classroom; Curriculum development; Contract compliance and reporting; Attendance at regular staff meetings; Other assignments as requested by Site Director or Management. |
Requirements: Children s Center Permit; Minimum of 3 years teaching experience and a minimum of 2 years experience working with preschool children; One year administrative and supervision experience, preferably at a child care center; Familiarity with administrative procedures (prior Head Start experience preferred); Ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural team; Caring, compassionate approach to working with children and families; Bilingual Spanish/English or Asian Language/English preferred; Awareness of safe lifting techniques for lifting children, supplies and furnishings and commitment to using preventive health measures in the classroom to prevent the spread of disease.
