Description: The Position: The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Teach; Assist with assessment of children; Assist in supervision of teaching staff and, if applicable, administrative assistant; Verify hours on timesheet for all employees in their classroom; Oversee all parents communications; Day-to-day operations of the center; Curriculum development; Ensure program contract compliance and reporting. |
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience and a minimum of 1 year experience working with preschool children; Administrative and supervision experience, preferably at a child care center; Ability to model play-based, child-centered curriculum; Familiarity with administrative procedures; Ability to work well harmoniously in a multicultural team; Caring, compassionate approach to working with children and families; Awareness of safe lifting techniques for lifting children, supplies and furnishings and commitment to using preventive health measures in the classroom to prevent the spread of disease.
