Description
: Work with Employer Liaison I to develop and establish relationships with medium small employers (private, public, and non-profit), determine their staffing and training needs and market CIRCLES participants. Review, assess, distribute and follow-up incoming job announcements and employer calls to determine suitability, educate employers, gather further information and prompt case managers. Support case managers in their job development activities. Coordinate job development activities amongst CBO s to ensure clear and consistent communication with employers, non-duplication of efforts, efficient use of resources, etc. Coach case managers in working with participants on advancement opportunities. Coordinate grant-based employment placements in non-profit and public agencies. Coordinate with Goodwill who will assist with job descriptions and conduct employer supervisor training. Provide support and guidance to employers to enhance their ability to provide meaningful employment for limited English speakers. Maintain relationship with medium and larger employers: follow-up after placement, monitor retention, maintain communication with client and case manager.

Requirements
: BA Degree; Minimum 1 year experience in an employment or job readiness training program which targets job placement and retention for low-income populations; Experience in case management a plus. Prefer experience in working with populations of low income, with demonstrated success in motivating and gaining a high level of participation in employment preparation programs (i.e., work readiness training, skill training, etc.) and quality job placements and retention; Demonstrate contacts with the business community; Excellent written and oral presentation skills, prefer bilingual in English and Spanish, Cambodian, Vietnamese, or Laotian; Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with diverse populations (i.e., multicultural, multilingual and of low income) and organize and motivate volunteers from the business community; Ability to employ creative problem solving skills; Ability to work as a team member; Strong analytical and computer skills with knowledge of various software applications; Knowledge of work place safety rules regarding general safety, lifting techniques and preventive health measures; Valid California Driver s license
