Description: Work with Nortel's MTX (Mobile Telephone eXchange) and DMS switching using installation manuals, technical specifications and drawings. Work with Node switching hardware and software systems particular to MTX and related interconnected systems. Work with the Cellular Telephone operating systems from handset to landline. Troubleshoot complex network systems under extreme pressure and determine corrective actions and manage the dispatch of the required resources to correct the problem. BSC maintenance, BSM, TN4X fiber optic multiplex units. Work with UNIX. This is a Spanish speaking environment. Must have a thorough background in Node switching hardware and software systems particular to MTX and interconnected systems. Thorough understanding of the Cellular Telephone operating philosophy from handset to landline. Strengths in troubleshooting complex network systems under extreme pressure to have the ability to determine corrective actions and the management ability to dispatch the required resources to correct the problem. Experience with TNIC fiberoptic multiplex units and DMC microwave, Harris Microwave is a huge plus. Ability to speak some Spanish is necessary.
