Description: Tri-City Peoples Corporation is recruiting a Director of Community Development with at least 5 years of experience in the field of housing and community revitalization who is able to lead the organization in building a strong niche in housing and economic development. We are seeking a candidate who possesses the skills and expertise to form partnerships and leverage community resources to develop housing and economic development opportunities for the West Side Park community of Newark, as well as implement community organizing strategies aimed at empowering residents. Requirements: Experience in housing development is a must. Minimum B.A. degree in public administration, social service, urban planning or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Management and Community Economic Development. Experience in working with non-profit, community based programs and businesses in revitalization projects. Track record in proposal writing, real estate packaging and financing. Strong commitment to neighborhood reinvestment and community development activities.
