Description: The Business Development Manager will find, develop, define, and close equity investments, licensing deals, and acquisitions in order to meet the strategic needs and objectives of Intel Capital and the associated business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for: 1) defining requirements and conducting market research to help formulate sector strategy, 2) identifying and screening potential deals and equity investments, 3) advising management about the merits of potential deals, 4) proposing and getting internal agreement on negotiating positions and strategies, 5) ensuring that the terms of any deal make business sense for Intel, and 6) external negotiating on such deals. The individual will be responsible for deals from initiation through closing. |
Requirements: Required education/experience: MS engineering and MBA degrees, plus four years of deal related or business development experience. Other strongly desired qualities include: 1) the ability to credibly work with and persuade top management at Intel and outside entities, 2) excellent business judgement, 3) good financial analysis skills, 4) excellent negotiating skills, 5) ability to handle detail, 6) technical depth in Intel architecture platforms and technologies. The grade level may be adjusted depending on the skill level of the successful candidate.
