: CARE USA, a world leader in International relief and development work, is in search of an Auditor II for our Atlanta Headquarters. This position requires up to 60% travel, both internationally and throughout the US. You will work in an exciting team environment and use innovative approaches. You will act as a business partner with management to identify risks and inefficiencies associated with achieving their objectives; assessing the adequacy of controls to reduce identified risks or improves efficiency; and recommending controls or other activities to efficiently reduce these risks. The Responsibilities of the Auditor II may be summarized as follows:

Test transactions Review the level of control and safeguarding of all assets Evaluate and recommend improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of all systems, policies, and procedures Investigate the impact of fraud Suggest improvements to systems, policies, and procedures that govern the above. Collect and assimilate data Assess processes and controls Draft observations and recommendations for areas tested Evaluate reliability of financial and operational information Develop creative solutions to issues identified Use various means to conduct internal and external research to gain a better understanding of areas to be audited and to identify risks and opportunities, industry trends and benchmarks Keep current on developments in the areas of general accounting, auditing, non-profit issues and government regulations Recommend cost-saving ideas Coordinate implementation of audit work with manager Mentor new staff

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is based in Atlanta with up to 75% travel to developing countries. It will be a great opportunity for the right person to see the world, as well as to get a strong grasp of CARE's operations in these countries.


Requirements
:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree At least 5 years relevant experience (i.e. CPA, Financial Analyst, etc.) Advanced degree in lieu of some experience Ability to travel 75% of time Skills in establishing time budgets for audits Comfortable negotiating with/coaching Senior management Must be very organized with an attention to detail Ability to deconstruct observations, risks, and recommendations and explain implications to customer. Ability to gather information from numerous sources and synthesize an accurate picture of the situation. Team Player

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Internal or External audit experience Work experience in another country CPA license Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese or French)
