Description: - Responsabilities:
* This full-time position reports directly to the Executive Director and is a member of the Program Management Team.
* This position shall provide overall direction, supervision and coordination of the English Language Training Programs and the respective program officers and staff which consists of: Small Business Consultants; Self-Employment Counselor; Screening and Assessment Coordinator; Personal Development Trainer; Workshop Coordinator and occasional external contractors.
* In consultation with the Executive Director and Program Management Team, propose policies and procedures for the implementation and administration of the English Language Training Program.
* Provide direction to program staff in the development of annual and periodic program goals, objectives and work plans (schedules).
* Participate in client training and consulting as needed to fill in gaps.
* Coordinate and monitor the implementation of program objectives between the English training program and related service delivery activities (Business Support Services, Loan Fund, Spanish training program - ALAS).
* Conduct regular program follow-up, monitoring, evaluation and reporting including staff performance evaluations.
* Undertake the review, design, development and expansion of the English language-training program.
* Present the program service delivery requirements (facilities, materials, staffing and budgets) and propose changes, as needed.
* Provide technical input to grant-writing, fundraising, program budgeting and reporting.
* Represent WI in developing relevant working relationships with related organizations on joint projects and partnerships and other WI external relations.
* Undertake other duties as may be required.
Requirements: * Must be a graduate of a four-year undergraduate degree program. Preference shall be made for candidates with a graduate degree in business, public administration or related field.
* At least five (5) years experience in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of entrepreneurship or community-based economic development programs.
* Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills with supervisory experience of professional staff.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to use personal computer programs; word processing; spreadsheet; database and Internet access.
* Hands-on experience in small business management, training and or consulting a PLUS.
* English and Spanish
